Between the cold/warm/completely unpredictable weather and a long string of 14-hour work days, I’m starting to feel like it’s time for a break. What does it mean when you start plotting devious ways to break into the CDC in order to contract the Ebola virus just so you have an excuse to stay home and get some rest? It means you need a vacation, that’s what.
Unfortunately, that probably won’t happen anytime soon, so I just have to fantasize about an extended holiday in some random tropical locale:
As my girl Liz Lemon would say:
I want to go to there.
Of course, no vacation fantasy is complete without an imaginary suitcase packed with the ultimate you-must-be-crazy-you-know-you-can’t-afford-all-that wardrobe:

The other great thing about vacation is that you can eat tons of amazing food since everyone knows all food consumed while on vacation has zero calories, just as money spent during that time has no effect on your bank account/Visa bill.

I’m right there with you! I’m about to fake mental illness in order to get put away and relax! But since I’m chained to this computer and desk the only vacation in my foreseeable future is my lunch break!
When I need to get away, I mostly do little things like hole up in the house on a Sunday doing nothing, watching bad reality TV marathons and eating food that is not “vacation-body approved”.
I’m still trying to work out the blueprint for changing my living room into a beach front property. When I make some progress I’ll certainly share. Great post, you got my mind off of stress!
Turning everything off except VH1 soul. Or taking a long hot “spa” shower. Or watching the Discovery or Travel channel. It’s like a vacation on your couch. LOL.

I tend to take myself to my room read lovely magazines and put my music on full blast!
