Work Style: Rainbow Brights

Sweater, Urchin; cropped trousers, Forever21; shoes, scarf, necklace, vintage.

Every now and then, I’m gripped by a strange urge to wear bright, happy colors. But only every now and then. Only in small quantities. And always tempered with black.

Do you wear bright colors? Or are you like me, caught in a maze of mostly blacks and grays?

I do love brights, but similar to you, I like to ground them in a neutral (for me like charcoal gray or navy blue). I love unexpected pairings that are similar in intensity, very much like Ms. Obama’s color selection. I love the trousers. :-)

  2. I go back and forth between the extremes. LOL.

    I love this look.

  3. I love that sweater! I’m probably the precise opposite. I love color and try to wear black as less as possible.

Love to add color, especially to outfits for work. We actually just wrote a post encouraging our readers to set aside the black this season and embrace some color!!!

Really like this look, the sporty stripes are tempered nicely with those cropped pants and heels.
