After months and months and several forevers of working with nary a break, I finally took a few days off to relax. On Grand Cayman Island! It was 85 and sunny every day, which made for good times napping on the beach, shopping in George Town, touring the island, aMAHzing snorkeling (thriving coral! barracuda sightings!), and relaxing in the hotel’s hot tub every night. I’ve been trying to figure out a respectful, interesting way to wear the barong FriendBoy got on our trip to the Philippines, and I think I’m finally satisfied. Vintage skirt, belt, and sweater; barong from SM Dept. Store; Jessica Simpson boots The fuzzy cardigan takes it from exotic and tropical to comfy and cozy, just the way I like.

So, I’ve really been feeling this rusty russet color lately–by coincidence, it featured prominently in Sunday’s photo shoot. Y’all remember how much I loved the colors in Gucci’s Fall/Winter collection, and several other designers featured these colors, too.
