Executive Realness
I recently re-watched Paris is Burning for the first time in at least 10 years (it still holds up, in case you were wondering) and figured it was time to bring a little Executive Realness to my life.
Hugo Buscati blazer; thrifted oxford shirt; J. Crew pants; NOMAD3176 necklace; Giuseppe Zanotti heels
If you’ve never seen Paris, I encourage you to watch it (for free!) here. Like I said, it holds up and is just as exuberant/haunting/relevant as it was in 1990.

November 8, 2012 at 3:52 pmGive me your pants. If those are the J.Crew minnie pants, they don’t look like that on me. If they aren’t, which ones are they? I want to buy them and then take myself out to a business lunch.

November 26, 2012 at 11:46 pmI also like Burning in Paris! The film embraces the reality of different gender identities or communities and their different forms of expression so does contrasted with your fashion sense. Sheer realism. Thanks for this post! You are an inspiration. 🙂

December 24, 2012 at 12:36 pmWe all would love to wear our favorite heels to work, but I don’t think that 6 inch stilettos are super office appropriate. Instead we like what you did by keeping your heel height a little shorter but still adorable. When it gets cold even some cute ankle booties will work. Kate Spade makes some gorgeous ankle boots that will fit right into any office wardrobe.
