Meet Genevieve
One beautiful, sunny (and extremely windy) afternoon, I broke out my favorite blue velvet flares and got my baby hair in order to meet photographer Damon Wilson and Queen City Vignette’s Amber Zaragoza for a photo shoot. The star of the shoot? No, not me. A chair.
Not just any chair, though. Genevieve – which totally sounds like a historical American Girl doll I would’ve loved – is a vintage settee made of carved wood and covered in vibrant mint velvet. She looks like Marie Antoinette and a Velvet Elvis painting had a furniture baby. I knew I had to bring my A-game; after all, this was the #throneproject.
After a fun afternoon shooting around Smale Park, I got to know Genevieve better and I think she’d be perfect for a chic birthday gathering at The Frock, engagement photos with a romantic retro vibe, or pretty much any event involving lots of rosé. Your call.
