I made it through the wilderness

On Saturday I took a break from my post-magazine release Internet sabbatical to interact with real, live people at a party/fundraiser for the United Way billed as The Event of the Season. I have to say, hanging out in a penthouse condo overlooking the lights of downtown isn’t a bad way to spend a few hours.

The weather was still fairly balmy (for November, anyway), so I took the opportunity  to wear the All Saints corset I wore at Fashion’s Night Out a few months ago. Any excuse to wear a corset, really.

The colors in the corset and skirt are very similar, even though the prints are different–most people thought I was wearing a dress. Nope! But I was wearing the hot pink crinoline I got at Talk of the Town underneath…

All Saints corset, vintage skirt, clutch, and blazer, Steven shoes (I really need a new pair of black patent leather heels)

I swear, I cannot wear this crinoline without breaking into a completely off-key rendition of “Like a Virgin.” Cover your ears and prepare to be entertained!

How was your weekend?

Tamia, you look lovely as always.

By the way, I just got these black patent oxfords(with heels) from SM. I swear, they go with everything http://bit.ly/bQs9AL
