Scarfed Down

I’ve been testing out my DIY scarf necklace to see how it fares in hot weather…

I also made a shorter, braided necklace using scraps in my craft box. I think I like the way they look together.

I also like how easy it is to make it look like I put some effort into getting dressed (when I most certainly have NOT) just by throwing them on over shorts and a tank. I’m all about lazy layering!

It looks great, I do like the added braided necklace. I think the baby blue belt goes well with the pattern of the scarf.

Thanks, Julie! I like layering them, too.

    Love it!

I think I’ll try this with the silk scraps from the dress I turned into a blouse.

I was thinking of using my eyelet tool kit to make the “hole” in the scarf for the chain to link in. I’ll share when I’m done and credit you!

      That’s what I used! I think it was a 3/8″ eyelet.

Yeah, scarves always feel French-y to me!

Very nice! I agree that they make you look really put together. I especially like the braided one.

Thanks, I’m planning to try again with a few different scarves…
