Easy Fashion DIY: Bleached Denim Jacket
I’ve had this standard-issue Gap denim jacket for years, and though it was still cute and functional, I felt like DOING something to it. Why leave a perfectly good item of clothing alone when there’s all sorts of potential to screw it up?
So, for your viewing “pleasure,” I present this quick fashion DIY video. Enjoy!

August 17, 2011 at 9:42 pmLovin it!!! That looks so cool. I also have a jean jacket like yours but NEVER wear it because it looks so…. regular. But what you’ve done is great. and with the exception of time, doesn’t cost much. Great job! You should totally do more!

June 6, 2016 at 4:14 amHi!, I’m really keen to try this on a thrifted denim jacket, and your video is the only one that I found that lightens the jacket to my liking, so thank-you soo much! I was wondering would I have to add vinegar if I wanted to bleach my whole jacket?
Thank-you so much btw

June 16, 2016 at 10:10 pmI’m pretty sure you’d be ok with no vinegar if you wanted to bleach your whole jacket, but the vinegar helps stop the bleaching action so it might be useful once the denim hits the desired “lightness”. Thanks for watching!
