Dessert Rose

Since the weather seems to have taken an unexpected yet completely typical turn (high 70’s in October? In Cincinnati? Of course!), I decided to celebrate the last of the warm-weather days with a pastel palette. These colors never fail to remind me of ice cream.

Tucker blouse, Grey Ant jeans, no-name bag (seriously, there’s nary a label or imprint on the thing).

Have a great weekend!

PS: Ooh, just noticed the new site for Dress for Success’ 4th Street Boutique is up! We’ll be highlighting some of our favorite items from time to time, so check the site often. And don’t forget to read the updated Style Tour guides!

You look seriously rad! Loving the highwaisted jeans with blousy top.

This weather is crazy! At some point I’d love to be able to put away my summer clothes:)

@courtnee I know! I’d just pulled out some sweaters, only to have to put them back in the storage closet. Soon enough, though…

Wow…you look incredible! I totally love this ’70s vibe. Not everyone can do a high-waisted pant, but you rock it. And you are so teeny tiny!

@Joslyn Thanks for stopping by! I usually say the bag is pink, but more exacting types might call it mauve.

    Tamia,

I am loving this outfit! My aunt had the exact same jeans when I was a little kid! She wore them with those stack heeled shoes back in the day! I love vintage because I can remember when it was “IN!” Now its back again! The bracelet is cute! Oh and I’ve been loving all the hairstyles. There is one I am gonna duplicate when the top of mine gets a little longer! Had to get a huge cut due to heat damage back in June:(

@Caramelnaps Thanks! I have many a photo of my aunts and older cousins rocking high-waisted jeans back in the day–I think that was in the back of my mind!
