This gorgeous dress was given to me by a former co-worker who understood my love for vintage. Apparently, she wore it in her heyday in the 80's, which seems entirely appropriate given the cut and draping. It reminds me of the amazing fashions worn on Dynasty--I feel like I should be battling it out with another shoulder pad-clad rich bitch in front of the Carrington mansion!

I found this old Boy Scout shirt when I was digging through my closet and decided I really wanted to wear it with something sparkly and girly for contrast.
Of course, a grown woman wearing a Boy Scout shirt meant the comments from the peanut gallery were in full force:
"Are you going camping? Can you pitch my tent? Did you earn your badge in (insert blatant ignorance here)?"
Sigh.
I started to wonder why I bought that shirt at the thrift store

A former coworker convinced me to try on this blazer even though I was more than a little apprehensive about the bright color. It was on clearance, so I figured what the heck
I remember buying this top on a thrifting adventure a few years ago, but I don't remember why. Most likely, I figured I couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy what was basically a tee shirt made out of gold sequins. Really, what self-respecting thrift-loving fashionista could?
Only, I haven't really worn it. A crazy halloween costume doesn't count (I was Rick James, bitch). Neither does dress up around the house, which happens just as often

All this lovely warm weather is tempting me away from my usual wardrobe of gray and black and tricking me into thinking I like brightly colored floral prints. Ah, well. It was a good excuse to play around outside on a sunny day!
