Current Obsession // Goldringer

I can count on one hand* the number of times I’ve had a professional manicure, but even my DIY nails look sophisticated next to an assortment of delicate gold rings. I’m currently partial to mixing this rings-on-a-chain situation I got at LIBBY with a Rock Salt Vintage thumb ring and my favorite Tony Soprano-wannabe pinkie ring.  Bada bing! *But seriously, why are my hands so vein-y? I'm a phlebotomist's dream! [hr color="gray" width="100%" border_width="1px" ] SHOP LOCAL Sloane, LIBBY

Current Obsession // Over-the-Knee Boots

Every now and then I feel the urge to dress like an '80s hooker, and there's nothing like a good over-the-knee boot to get that Pretty Woman look juuuust right. I got this Guess pair on sale after eyeing them for months--the gold detail on the sole and leather/suede combination (plus the half-off sale price!) sealed the deal for me. Plus, they're a good investment: over-the-knee boots were all over the Fall runways: Top: Cynthia Rowley,

Current Obsession // In the Grays

My love of neutrals has been pretty well documented, especially when it comes to my favorite: gray. That perfect, goes with everything, not-too-dark-but-not-too-light color that’s not really a color. I was digging through my closet when I realized that I currently own 5 gray sweaters (I ONLY want to wear sweaters lately thanks to this horrible PolarBearVortexRollercoaster weather) in varying shades and weights, and I'm not the only one: Images via Lori Stuckman, weheartit, Golestaneh street

Shopping // Sales Galore!

While I'm technically focusing on making the most of what's already in my closet, the sales going on right now are just too good to ignore. I figure indulging in a bit of discounted post-holiday shopping actually SAVES money (just go with me on this one) and helps support local businesses. A few of my favorite opportunities for retail therapy: Sloane Deep Sale - 50% -80% off seasonal merchandise. Be sure to check out the racks
