I Dream of DIY

Every few months I do this weird thing where I decide on a certain "look" for the season: Disco Housewife, Downtown Powerbitch, Rocker Pageant Princess, etc. It rarely pans out ('cause really, who can afford a new wardrobe every few months?), but it's fun to play around with these little capsule collections in my head. This time around, I'm still loving the '70s secretary look, and I feel like even if

Weekend Photo Diary

I'm still (barely) recovering from another fun yet exhausting weekend, including the second installation of Final Friday PopShop--this time, marked by a great crowd, creative vendors, blowing bubbles, free haircuts, a suspicious set of blond wigs making the rounds, and a homecoming-ish picture at the end of the night. I seriously cannot wait to rock this look when the weather cools off! I picked up another set, too:

Black + Blue

For some reason, wearing black and navy together makes one feel very French, n'est-ce pas?  Really, I think that particular combination makes both (neutral, sometimes boring) colors more interesting. They're both integral to my wardrobe palette. These pants (a result of the lazy DIY, if you recall) are so cool and breezy--perfect for the hot and humid weather we've been having. I added some cognac-colored leather accessories and gold jewelry for interest. Tank, H+M; pants, thrifted; shoes,
