I collect a lot of (mostly visual) inspiration on my Tumblr--pictures of fashion, graphic design, art, interiors, the occasional sarcastic/intellectual quote, and various other bits and pieces I'd like to remember. Pastries made with ube, a yummy, sweet purple yam I came to appreciate during my trip to the Philippines; a wolf that could only exist in a dream; the view from some lucky heffa's person's Paris apartment; a shimmering watercolor 'fro, loving the type treatment in this magazine layout; oversized rings made out of purple rocks are right up my alley.

I'm a big fan of independent publications, so when I come across magazines I enjoy, I like to share! Right now, I'm reading Pure and Papercut. Pure is created in Portugal and available online (free, baby!) as a downloadable PDF. Fine, I don't actually read it since my knowledge of Portuguese is limited to Teena Marie songs (RIP Lady Tee), but it's fun to look at the pictures and see what they're up to on
Sometimes, styles that were once seen as fashion DEATH become socially acceptable and are canonized as part of the style lexicon. Remember when wearing heels with jeans was a no-no back in, like, 1997? Socks and heels were long seen as anathema to the fashion community, conjuring up images of fetish-y babydoll wear most often seen on "glamour models" in Frederick's of Hollywood catalogs, but the look has gained acceptance
