I Dream of DIY

Every few months I do this weird thing where I decide on a certain “look” for the season: Disco Housewife, Downtown Powerbitch, Rocker Pageant Princess, etc. It rarely pans out (’cause really, who can afford a new wardrobe every few months?), but it’s fun to play around with these little capsule collections in my head. This time around, I’m still loving the ’70s secretary look, and I feel like even if I can’t revamp my...

Earning my stripes

Vintage blouse, thrifted vest, Marc by MJ jeans, DKNY heels, Marc Jacobs bag I’ve been spending time spring cleaning, working on various projects (Final Friday PopShop is this week!), trying to find a hair stylist (seriously, I have a LIST of interview questions), enjoying time with my mom (hi Mom!), lamenting the fact that $3.85/gallon suddenly seems like a “reasonable” price for gas, and watching all the trees bloom green–seemingly overnight. Reva and I thoroughly enjoyed the costumes and the show! I was out taking street style pictures when I interrupted this dude’s smoking break. I’m pretty sure that was a cigarette… Went to an Elvis-themed “Prom” for adults and finally...

PopShop is this weekend!

We’ve been hard at work preparing the space at 1301 Main Street for this weekend’s PopShop! There was a lot of cleaning… As the broom gently sweeps Putting up signs (including a Monty Python-worthy sequence involving a ladder and a roll of pink twine)… It’s up there! Hanging decorations… Can you guess what this is? …and a personal project that involved tree branches and copious amounts of spray paint. You’ll just have to stop by...
