Top 10: Online Shops

Not that I would claim to be an expert, but I've been shopping online since 1999 or so, back when I worked for Victoria's Secret in the online customer service department. Since then, a lot has changed--some sites have disappeared (remember Girlshop?), sites like etsy have given independent designers a stronger voice, and I've purchased many many more pairs of shoes--but there are still shops I consider to be my go-to shopping destinations. Here, in no particular

Casual Style: Lazy Sunday

The thing about Sunday brunch is that it usually occurs immediately after I've rolled out of bed, which leaves precious little time for primping. Inspired by the recent onslaught of sweats on the runway, I decided to try my hand at wearing them outside of the house--in public, even! This translates to my wardrobe accordingly: I like coming up with easy-to-understand combinations--recipes, if you will--for putting clothes together. For instance, trousers + fitted tee + blazer, or this pencil skirt

Runway Copycat: Marc Jacobs

I tend to be veeeery impatient. This applies to pretty much all aspects of my life, and fashion is no exception. The stuff for fall from this past New York Fashion Week? Yeah, I want to wear it NOW.  If the look is simple enough--like this one from Marc Jacobs' show-- it's fairly easy to duplicate. So, without further ado: 1. American Apparel Tri-blend long sleeve v-neck, $30  2. Forever21 Tribal print scarf, $5.80  3. BuyCostumes.com
