Several months worth of scouting and shopping and shooting came together in the gorgeous new issue of Cincinnati Wedding! This is our first-ever budget issue, so I pulled wedding dresses (and wedding jumpsuits) from everywhere--including Target--and they’re all under $1,300.

2. There was A LOT of wedding cake left over after the cake toppers shoot! We wound up giving away (um, and eating) huge hunks of rich, buttery goodness.

The April issue of Cincinnati Magazine is on newsstands, and I have to say: putting this one together made me feel like a big kid. With several kid-focused location shoots, a playful studio shoot, and a toy-themed Necessities page, I spent a LOT of time in toy stores and several late nights putting together adorably tiny outfits. Dressing kindergarteners is surprisingly fun!

Every now and then I feel the urge to dress like an '80s hooker, and there's nothing like a good over-the-knee boot to get that Pretty Woman look juuuust right. I got this Guess pair on sale after eyeing them for months--the gold detail on the sole and leather/suede combination (plus the half-off sale price!) sealed the deal for me. Plus, they're a good investment: over-the-knee boots were all over the Fall runways:
