Vintage blouse, H&M top, BDG jeans, handcrafted clutch, Sigerson Morrison booties Returning from tropical paradise to gray skies and ice storms has me all discombobulated, and I'm feeling as gray as the stone cold skies. It's crazy how much the weather affects my mood--does that happen to anyone else?
Near the end of January, FriendBoy and I took a trip to the Philippines for a friend's wedding and a much-needed respite from the cold weather. Snacks On a Plane. Sorry, I couldn't resist. After a looong trip from Cincinnati (including a "hidden" re-fueling stop in Japan), we landed in Manila a full day and a half after we left. Thanks, International Date Line. 10 days ago, I left for a trip to the Philippines thinking I could use my phone's handy-dandy WordPress app to blog from anywhere in the world! WRONG. It turns out that developing island provinces are NOT flush with wi-fi hotspots. Who knew? Anywho, I'm back now! I'll post some pictures when I'm able to stay awake for more than 5 minutes at a time, but I did want to point out this miraculous feat

I'm a big fan of independent publications, so when I come across magazines I enjoy, I like to share! Right now, I'm reading Pure and Papercut. Pure is created in Portugal and available online (free, baby!) as a downloadable PDF. Fine, I don't actually read it since my knowledge of Portuguese is limited to Teena Marie songs (RIP Lady Tee), but it's fun to look at the pictures and see what they're up to on
