I must have been inspired by that rainbow I saw, because this rainbow-striped sweater and bright skirt was the first thing I reached for. I toned it down a bit with a black jacket--hey, we can't be ALL happiness and sunshine, right?

As much as I like the idea, I have yet to work up the mojo to wear my open-toed shoes with tights; Finally, a Wheel of Fortune puzzle I can easily solve; I wouldn't know what to do with this high-tech turntable, but I want it anyway; The fact that this clever teapot-and-mug combo features a pun AND an '80s icon makes me want to squee; Does it GET any more Fashion Week than leather,
So far, Autumn/Winter 2012 fashion is shaping up to include the usual leather, dark colors, and beautiful coats that seem to appear every Fall. Color blocking is still a thing, though it's been one-upped by pattern blocking--combining multiple prints and patterns--and it looks like pops of bright color (including Spring's tangerine shades) and quirky ironic sweaters will be around for another season or two. Every year when the temperature dips below 50, I look forward to wearing these pants. I'm not sure why--something about the combination of high-waisted seventies goodness and plush blue velvet intrigues me.

Multicolored rainbow eye shadow used to be my go-to party look, and I think it's time to bring it back; If I drove through a tunnel of purple blossoms every morning I might appreciate the commute a bit more; Layering patterns and textures like paisley and lace is one of the best ways to create interest and depth; Sturdy-heeled ankle boots are the perfect antidote to an abbreviated hemline; I'm still not over my obsession
