Fashion Without Guilt logo

I keep meaning to share some of the design projects I’ve worked on over the past few months, so here’s the first installment. One of my clients is Breck from Fashion Without Guilt, who I “met” (what do you call it when you meet people through the googlenet?) when she contributed to Style Sample magazine. Fashion Without Guilt is a fun site (with a very attractive and familiar layout!) that focuses on affordable fashion, beauty,...

How to: Wear socks + heels

Remember when wearing heels with jeans was a no-no back in, like, 1997? Socks and heels were long seen as anathema to the fashion community, conjuring up images of fetish-y babydoll wear most often seen on “glamour models” in Frederick’s of Hollywood catalogs, but the look has gained acceptance over the past few seasons....

It always failed because I just crossed my fingers and hoped that I would wake up on January 1st WANTING to eat only raw broccoli with lemon zest for the rest of my life. That cookie/cake/pint of Haagen Dazs Dulce de Leche calling my name in the freezer wouldn’t...

Best of Style Tour shopping!

Hands down, the best part of the Dress for Success Style Tour was meeting new people. From Ms. Garr at Savannah G rocking purple streaks in her hair, to Nancy at Talk of the Town proclaiming herself “the happiest broke person you’ll ever meet”, not one person was in it for money. Everyone I encountered just decided to take a risk and do what they love. The second best part? Finding new places to shop!...
